Planning

The Planning Wheel is a direction setting model resembling a ship’s helm, which controls the rudder and sets the vessels’s course. The center hub represents the purpose of the voyage.

Radiating outward from the hub are eight spokes representing communication channels, connecting the hub with the rim. At the intersection of each spoke and the rim lies an action point where the ship’s position is examined and a determination made to stay the course or change direction.

The Planning Wheel can also be applied as a career development tool that shows Doers how to make the best use of their skills and abilities and their innate desire to get things done by helping them understand the importance of being in the right place doing the right thing the right way for the right reason.
