DISCOVERY CIRCLE

The Discovery Circle is a multiuse gathering where those who seek understanding and acceptance come together to examine their doubts and anxieties in the company of supporters who are ready to embark on a journey of mutual discovery.
Participants will follow a seven-step action plan* that encourages and empowers them to move from where they are today to where they want to be tomorrow.
This opportunity will help participants discover how to take charge of their future rather than let rejection dim their hopes and dampen their enthusiasm for what lies ahead.
Upon completion of this confidence building experience, participants will not only learn from rejection, but also how to apply this knowledge in their quest for a meaningful life.
*ACTION PLAN
Step 1: Making Rejection Work for You
Learning how to make rejection work for you rather than struggling to avoid it will give you more control over your life.
Step 2: Don’t Take “No” As the Final Answer
Disapproval is not a random act. There is always a reason for it, so look for the “why” behind the “no” before you respond.
Step 3: Getting Things Done Through Others
Learn to work well with anyone once you understand the guiding principles that contribute to a productive relationship.
Step 4: Becoming A Self-motivated Learner
Self-examination leads to competency, which is why understanding how learning takes place in stages can be useful.
Step 5: Separating Fact from Fiction
Providing honest feedback is one half of the relationship equation, being open to receiving it is the other half.
Step 6: Getting Your Priorities Straight
A set of well-defined priorities enables you to determine which goals matter most and which can be set aside.
Step 7: Building Your Personal Support System
It is critical to your life purpose to have a personal support system to help you learn from rejection throughout your career.
Note: The Discovery Circle action plan, LEARN FROM REJECTION: Find The Why Behind The No, is taken in part from EMBRACE REJECTION: Turn Pain Into Purpose. Should you wish to dig deeper and discover the broader organizational impact, you’ll find a copy of both books on Amazon and Kindle.
